Podium Finish for Luca Damiani in Italian national Cyclo-Cross Championships

Cyclo-cross specialist Luca Damiani of the Colavita/Sutter Home Men’s Cycling Team presented by Cooking Light muscled his way into 3rd place in the elite men's category at the Italian national cyclo-cross championships in Scorza, Venice. Damiani’s podium placing earned him a selected spot on the Italian National team to participate in a cyclo-cross training camp to prepare for the upcoming world championships on January 27th in Treviso, Italy.
 
Damiani, who has been competing successfully in Europe since early November, found the technical circuit was well-suited to his ability. "There was a lot of mud which I don't normally like," he said. "But those sections were followed by dry technical sections where I felt amazingly strong."  Damiani credits much of his strong performance on the European cyclo-cross circuit to his team-sponsored Jamis Supernova, which he describes as “really light making it comfortable to ride up steep hills and very easy to handle through technical sections."
