Davide Frattini of the Colavita/Sutter Home Men’s Cycling Team presented by Cooking Light Scores Back-to-Back UCI Cyclo-Cross Victories and Takes Leader’s Jersey in Verge Mid Atlantic Cyclo-cross Series

Davide Frattini solidified his first UCI win in the Beacon, PA cyclo-cross race on November 10, 2007. The former Italian team cyclo-crosser jumped ahead of his nearest competitors on the final lap and rode solo into the finish line, with his arms raised in a victory salute. “It was a bellissima vittoria,” said Davide, “I feel very happy to have won this UCI race because it’s a New Jersey event, where Colavita, a co-title sponsor of my road team is based. It’s a great way to say thank you to everyone at Colavita for their support and vision to build an amazing team for the 2008 season.”
 
Representing Colavita/Sutter Home as one of the strongest cross riders in the U.S., Davide went on to win his second UCI cyclo-cross race in Jamesburg, NJ the following day.  After the first lap, Davide entered into an eight-man battle for top UCI points and further demonstrated his versatility by winning a sprint finish.  With his successful U.S. cyclo-cross season, Davide now wears the Verge Mid Atlantic Cyclo-cross Series leader’s jersey.
