USA National Track Championships

Dotsie Bausch

Making her track debut, Dotsie Bausch of the Colavita/Sutter Home Women’s Cycling Team presented by Cooking Light took the gold medal in the women’s individual pursuit at the USA Elite National Track Championships.  A decorated time trial cyclist known also for her climbing prowess, Dotsie began training for the track this year.  Officials had to re-start the race after Dotsie fell in the first 10 meters while attempting an aggressive start.  She hung back in the second start but came from behind to beat Christen King of Young’s Training, with 2002 pursuit champion Angie Vargas-Coggan following in third.
