COLAVITA/SUTTER HOME MEN’S CYCLING TEAM
PRESENTED BY COOKING LIGHT
ANNOUNCES ROSTER FOR 2007

Wauwatosa, Wis; (December 20, 2006) – The Colavita/Sutter Home Men’s Cycling Team presented by Cooking Light will enter the 2007 racing season with a powerful line-up of world-class champions and strong young cyclists.

As previously announced, David McCann, the three-time and current Irish National Road Champion, and Charles Dionne, two-time winner of the San Francisco Grand Prix have signed with Colavita/Sutter Home for the 2007 season. With their international experience and complementary strengths in road racing, criteriums, and time trials, the pair represent a powerful addition to the squad that will also include returning Colavita/Sutter Home cyclists Davide Frattini, Gustavo Artacho, and Tyler Wren, along with veterans Alejandro Acton, Hayden Godfrey, and Peter Hatton. Acton, a native of Argentina, distinguished himself last year as winner of several major criteriums riding for Target Training. Godfrey, who competed in the 2004 Olympics, is a 13-time New Zealand National Champion, and Hatton, of Australia, rode for Jittery Joe’s in 2006.

A strong time trialist and GC threat, McCann has been racing with the Giant Asia team where he racked up strong performances, including the overall win at the Tour of Indonesia and the leaders jersey in the Tour of Thailand. In June, McCann again won the Irish National Championship and will bring the Green Clover jersey over to North America to race for the first time.

Dionne, the former Canadian Criterium Champion, raced in the Pro Tour with Saunier Duval-Prodir last year. He will mark his return to the North American racing circuit as a member of the Colavita/Sutter Home team in 2007 after being curtailed by injury.

“We are very excited about the prospects for the Colavita/Sutter Home racing franchise in 2007,” said Team Director Tom Schuler of Team Sports, “We are well-positioned for podium finishes in every type of event on the NRC calendar.”

Schuler continues, “The Colavita/Sutter Home squad combines the power and speed of international pros such as David McCann and Charles Dionne with the strength and commitment of a deep bench of younger riders.” In the upcoming season, the Colavita/Sutter Home Cycling Team will feature several talented young riders, including Luca Damiana of Italy, making his NRC racing debut, and American cyclists Anthony Colby, Andy Guptill, Adam Bergman, Bryan Smith, and Dan Vaillancourt.

The Colavita/Sutter Home Men’s Cycling Team presented by Cooking Light will kick off the 2007 season with ten days of intense training in the hills of Napa Valley, CA hosted by co-title sponsor Sutter Home Winery. Sutter Home will also be providing training facilities and accommodations for the Colavita/Sutter Home Women’s Cycling Team, which includes 2006 Women’s NRC Champion Tina Pic and Canadian National Champion Alex Wrubleski.
