Nicky Wangsgard excels at whatever she applies herself to. Her lifelong passion for tennis led to a collegiate scholarship and three years on the pro tennis circuit. A summer camping trip in 2001 sparked her interest in mountain biking, which led to a Collegiate National Championship the following year. And since switching to road racing, the results have been equally impressive – 2007 Utah State Road Racer of the Year, Green Mountain Stage Race Sprint Jersey Champion, 1st place in the Manhattan Beach 2006 Grand Prix, and the list goes on. In 2007, Nicky added a doctorate to her many accomplishments and is currently Assistant Professor of Special Education at Southern Utah University. |
